This Sunday (24th March) at QE Boys our U16’s are in Winter League play-off contention along with four other sides.
Having finished the regular season in second place in the North Division having won three of their four league matches only losing out to Chelmsford (5-3) who topped the group. The team will now be joined by three teams for the U16’s South Division to make the final round-robin Championship shootout table.
Joining Watford & Chelmsford will be Beckenham, West London Latymer B & Worthing. For the South Division
The five teams will play each other once on Sunday afternoon at QE Boys starting at 4.00pm with the overall winner of this mini-league being crowned U16’s Winter League Champions for the 2018/19 season.
Watford will start their quest to be Champions against West London Latymer B who topped the South Division on goal difference only from Worthing & Beckenham. All three teams finished on ten points having won three of their four matches each.
Next up will be Beckenham followed by Worthing and then a repeat of that North Division clash Chelmsford.
Depending on how results go it could come down to a repeat of the Watford v Chelmsford match to decide this season’s winners if it does then Watford & Head coach Edi Brkovic will be looking forward to putting one over one of their closest rivals.
