U12′s start Winter League Championship with three wins…

On Sunday a team of ten U12′s made the long trip to Whitgift School for the start of their Winter League Campaign and came away with a 100% record.


The team got off to a flying start winning their first game against Beckenhan  4-0, taking a first half lead with a brace from Dusan Crompton they continued with a further two goals in the second half from Lara Atkinson for a solid opening team performance.

With just a one game gap the team then faced Northampton. The game was a tight affair but we ended each half 2-1, for a final score of 4-2. Lara scored a further brace with Dusan and Ilija Crompton.

Coach Adam Page commented after the final whistle: “We had three very tough games today but we produced three very good team performances that gave us three wins. This team has great potential, played some outstanding polo and did the club proudas well as their watching parents. Thanks to the parents for bringing them on a late Sunday evening”.

There was then a long wait for the final game of the afternoon against hosts Croydon. After a pre-match team talk from coach Adam Page the team got their game heads on from the very start and marking their best player very tightly restricted Croydon to only a single goal as Watford fired in eight. The goal scorers were Dusan (3), Ilija (1), Gethin Dorrington (3) & Owen Dorrington (1).

Lara Atkinson, Owen Dorrington, Dusan Crompton, Mckenzie Holt, Ilija Crompton, Gethin Dorrington, Kyle Shah, Keeyan Shah, Parsa Zamani, Felix Ryans.
