U13’s have a mixed Day in London League Div Two…

Our U13’s B team have a mixed set of results in their latest round of London League Div To action at QE Boys School on Sunday afternoon.


The team’s first game of the afternoon was against WL Hillindon and it was the away side that took an early lead at 2-0 before Watford’s Dusan Crompton reduced the deficit Hillingdon then responded to establish their 2 goal margin at 3-1 but with 1.08 seconds of the half to play Dusan got his second & third goals of the game to register a hat-trick and bring his side level at 3-3 at Half Time.

The second half saw Watford take the lead at 4-3 beford Hillingdon levelled & then snatched the lead at 5-4 this they held until with only 17 seconds of the game to play that man Dusan scored his fourth of the game & gave his side a well deserved draw at 5-5.

Our second game of the day was against Haringey Aquatics and in a one side first half the team took a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Charles Ryans & Crompton. The second half saw Haringey score early for 2-1 but a strong defence from Watford prevented Haringey from scoring any further goals & then with only 16 seconds of the match to play Crompton put the icing on the cake with his second of the game for a 3-1 win.

Our third game was against league leaders WL Latymer & in a tight first half the teams were level at 1-1 Latymer scored first but Dusan Crompton was at it again with his seventh of the afternoon for 1-1.

Into the second half & Latymer showed why there are league leaders as they controlled the game and with two un-answered goals took the game 3-1.

The team’s final game of the afternoon was against Northampton and it was them that established a first half lead at 3-1 but not before Crompton had put his side 1-0 up, which they weren’t going to give up. Into the second half & Northampton extended their lead at 4-1. Watford’s Charles Ryans then pulled a goal back at 4-2, further chances for both sides were then missed until with 16 seconds remaining Crompton scored again for is Ninthof the afternoon at 4-3.

So all in all it was a great afternoon’s polo and the team is starting to gel & improve.

The final round of matches in this seasons Div Two will be on Sunday 16th September at QE Boys School.
