The game opened with Reading taking an early lead but Andy Holt back from a long term shoulder injury netted his first of Six for the evening from the left wing to level soon after. The next attack saw Tom Kelly give his side the lead with a neat back shot. Reading soon responded for 2-2 but with the quarter coming to a close goals from Holt and Will Eggleton had us in front at 4-2.
Into the second period and we extended the lead further to 6-2 with with efforts from Holt and Paul Skerm. Reading responded but another Kelly goal had Watford four clear at 7-3. With three minutes remaining on tbe clock until half time Reading upped the pace and scored three to Watford’s one via another Skerm goal to reach half time 8-6.
The second half and with the team focused more on defence and looking to pounce on the break the team scored a further eight goals to three to win the match 16-9.
