WWP v Beckenham. Far Away in an old pool, shallow end, with very hard spectator seats!

Watford 1st team travel to play Beckenham tonight in the Winter League Div One at West Wickham pool. The team are currently second in the table so we need a win to maintain our postion.
Team: Chris Jones(GK), Will Eggleton, Daniel Kattan, Adam Page, John Pickford, Paul Skerm, matt irish, nandor cech, wayne davis, james katten, Steven Behr.
Coach for tonight is Steve … WWP supporting spectators x2

Q1: Line up and away, Beck score in first 20 seconds, Nandi responds with a great 5 metre fouling goal. Line back up for centre, when the refs stop and confer… goal disallowed! Much grumbling from the Watford side, resulting in Steve receiving a yellow card!
Beck keep up pressure on Watford, and hammer in 3 more goals. Watford start to warm up, and find their flow. With some solid defence from Nandi, Watford kick back and James K scores ..Q1 ends 2-4 to Beck.

Q2: Beck back into scoring mode, fire in a cheeky long shot, and then another. Watford retaliate with Nandi scoring a cracking back flip. Back into the Beck half, and Nandi again prevents Beck scoring, defending with a leg stretched out of the water! Lots of pressing from both sides, and more goals hit the back of our net, Watford are now trailing 4 goals to 7. Wayne finally helps the Watford tally, after a great assistance pass from Nandi. Beck make a man up count and the Q ends 5-8 to Beck.

Q3: Beck score quickly, utilising 2 man ups effectively. Watford make mistakes that prove costly, and soon the score reflects the lack of concentration: 5-13. Watford also fail to convert a penalty, taken by Will. A time out called by Steve on man up proved fruitful and Watford score! Beck fail (finally) to score an another man up, Steve B makes an impressive steal, ball goes back down to pit and James K scores, now 7-13. Still some way to go to turn this game around. With a naughty 2 seconds stolen by the table when Watford take a corner ( come on table… 2 seconds.. plenty of time to score!), the Q ends 7-13

Q4: Beck mean business and make it known. Pressing Watford continuously, scoring 2 goals, however they had a penalty saved! Well done Chris! The stop clock decides to die, so last minutes played with 2 teams guessing 30 second durations. Wayne finds Adam in pit, passes in and Adam scores a nice lob. Then Wayne also finds the back of the net, followed by a goal courtesy of Nandi. 10-15 down, and then Beck decide to score in the dying seconds to make the final score 10-16.

A long way to come for a slightly unsatisfying match.
